Trump signs executive order imposing 25 percent tariffs on vehicles imported into the United States

WASHINGTON, United States – President Donald Trump has signed an executive order imposing 25 percent tariffs on all vehicles imported into the United States.

While signing the Executive Order, Trump said any vehicle manufactured in the United States will attract zero tariffs.

Experts are saying that the Trump tariffs policy are intended to encourage making of vehicles in the United States in order to create more jobs for Americans as part of his America first policy.

They are also saying that the policy could backfire.

Already, his strongest ally, Elon Musk who owns Tesla model has said that will engender higher prices for his brand of vehicles.
