AWKA, Nigeria – Chairman of Awka Tricycle Operators in Anambra State, Prince Collins Ozojiofor better known as ‘snop’ has dragged Anambra Human Rights activist Comrade Osita Obi to court for defamation, claiming N500 million as damages
In Suit No A/191/2023 filed at the Anambra State High Court, Awka, Anambra State, Ozojiofor alleged that Obi called him a cultist on his Facebook, a situation that had demeaned his reputation in the public .
He prayed the honourable court to order Comrade Osita Obi to pay him the sum of N500,000.000 as damages for defamation of his character.
He also urged the court to order comrade Osita Obi to pull down the libelous publication, he made on social media known as Facebook against him.
He further prayed that the court should compel the defendant to render public apology to him in two national newspapers, and to restrain him , his privies and allies from further making such publications against him.
