EDO, Nigeria – A former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees, Chief Tony Anenih has debunked rumours making the rounds that he is dead. Chief Tony Anenih who personally spoke to newsmen on phone said he is not dead. “thank God I am hale and healthy. I have not visited any hospital. I am speaking to you personally. I don’t know where those people got their information from.
“God has extended my life span beyond their expectation and He will still extend my life span beyond what I also expected”, he said.
Also in a press statement signed by Publicity Secretary of PDP in Edo State, Chris Osa Nehikhare the party said the rumoured death of the National Leader, Chief Tony Anenih is nothing but a lie.
“ We wish to inform the general public, especially our teeming supporters in Nigeria and Edo State in particular, that Chief Tony Anenih is alive, hale and hearty and will return to Nigeria on Sunday after a brief visit to the United Kingdom. Please disregard all the media propaganda currently going on”, he said.
