NEW YORK — In a direct address to diplomats gathered at the United Nations General Assembly, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, delivered an urgent ultimatum on the deteriorating conflict in the Middle East.
Speaking on behalf of the Kingdom during a high-level diplomatic forum, the chief diplomat warned world leaders that the viability of a sovereign Palestinian state existing alongside Israel is rapidly slipping away.
”The choice before us is clear: preserve the two-state solution or watch it disappear,” Prince Faisal declared, framing the current moment as a critical juncture for international diplomacy.
The Foreign Minister emphasized that while diplomatic resolution remains achievable, systemic pressures on the ground threaten to render the framework obsolete.

However, Saudi officials have consistently maintained that normalization remains contingent on a clear, binding pathway toward an independent Palestinian state.
By delivering such explicit warnings at the United Nations, Riyadh reiterates that regional integration cannot occur at the expense of Palestinian self-determination.
Prince Faisal’s speech underscores a deliberate Saudi effort to rally global coalition partners, European nations, and regional allies to force a concrete diplomatic timeline.
Riyadh has increasingly taken the lead in diplomatic initiatives—co-chairing global coalitions alongside the European Union and Arab partners—to enforce the implementation of UN resolutions and uphold the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative framework.
