Teenage Mutant, Ninja Turtles Sweeps $65 Million in Box Office Debut

August 10, 2014 – Teenage Mutant, Ninja Turtles recorded sales to the tune of $65 million at the weekend to emerge the most patronized film at the US box office. Put together by paramount pictures, the movie passed through 3,845 theatres to emerge the most patronized film during the week.

Guardians of the Galaxy recorded $41.531 million after passing through 4,088 film viewing centres to emerge the second most patronized movie at the box office.

Into The Storm, another new film just hitting the box office retained the third position on the chart. Put together by Werner Brothers, the film made $18.015 million after passing through 3,434 theatres in the US to make the third spot on the chart.

The Hundred Foot Journey which is just hitting the box office struggled to grab the forth position on the chart. Put together by Buena Vista, the film garnered $11.123 million after passing through 2,023 film viewing centres in the US.

Lucy which was number 2 last week was pushed into the fifth position when sales dropped to $9.331 million at the box office.
Other new films that debuted at the box office include Step UP All In, James Cameron’s Deepsea Challenge 3D, What If 2014 and The Dog.
