THREE baby-faced drug runners were today locked up after they were convicted of the ruthless murder of a 51-year-old man – after they were busted by stupid selfies they posed for just hours after the brutal killing.
Anthony Marks was chased down, kicked and stamped on before being beaten with a gin bottle in a ferocious “County Lines” retribution attack.
The vicious thugs, aged just 16 and 17 at the time, even posed for sickeningly cheerful photos together before and after they carried out the gruesome attack.
It was this trove of mobile phone snaps and videos that Met detectives used to place the teenagers at the scene and snare the vile killers.
The twisted tale of violence unfolded in the early hours of Saturday, August 10, 2024, after the trio, who were running drugs, believed Mr Marks knew who had robbed one of the girls.
Jaidee Bingham, 18, known as ‘Ghost’, Eymaiyah Lee Bradshaw-McKoy, 18, and Mia Campos-Jorge, 19, confronted Mr Marks near King’s Cross.
He was chased from Argyle Street to Whidbourne Street where he was brutally set upon.
In the savage street attack, Mr Marks was first hit with what is believed to be a car bumper, before being repeatedly kicked and battered over the head with a glass bottle.
The beating was so violent that the teens only fled when a brave member of the public, armed with a cricket bat, chased them off.
A bloodied and injured Mr Marks later stumbled into King’s Cross Station where police found him at 5.25am.
He battled for his life but tragically died from his injuries a month later on September 14, 2024.
Met Police detectives pieced together the horrifying events by trawling CCTV and tracing the drug gang through their mobile phones.
Images and video footage found on their seized phones showed the callous teens posing for selfies together at a nearby flat and sending messages referencing the incident.
Detective Inspector Jim Barry, of the Met’s Specialist Crime North, slammed the shocking lack of remorse.
He said: “They believed they had escaped justice, even posing for selfies together and laughing about what they had done.
”There is a sense of justice that officers were able to use these to place them at the scene of the crime.
“This is a particularly callous murder that gives an insight into the ruthless brutality of county lines gangs.”
He added: “The ages of Bingham, Bradshaw-McKoy and Campos-Jorge are particularly shocking. But the fact that they were teenagers does not excuse their violent actions.”At the Old Bailey yesterday:
Jaidee Bingham, 18, of Dagenham, was unanimously found guilty of murder.
Eymaiyah Lee Bradshaw-McKoy, 18, of Lambeth, was found guilty of manslaughter by a majority verdict.
Mia Campos-Jorge, 19, of Tottenham, was found guilty of manslaughter by a majority verdict.
The jury could not reach a decision in relation to Harry Gittins, 36, of King’s Cross, who was also charged with murder.
A further hearing is set for Wednesday, November 5.
