Welcome, my treasure, Ayuba tells son Treasure

KADUNA – Tears of joy welled down the cheeks of Ayuba, the father of Treasure Ayuba as he opened his door and found his Treasure just by his door steps. He grabbed him, and in solemn tears, said, Treasure, you are welcome.
Treasure Ayuba is one of the students kidnapped from Bethel High School in on July 5, 2021. He returned home safe and sound more than two years after the Nigerian government gave up hope stopped searching for him.
He was kidnapped when gunmen invaded the school in Damishi, Kaduna and abducted 121 students. He remained in captivity after release of the other captive.
Speaking on the release, the father said, he was at home when he heard a knock on the door only to open the door and find Treasure Ayuba at his door steps.
But in a statement, President of the Baptist Church, Rev Israel Akanji expressed his happiness about the development.
“Glory be to God! Glory be to God!! Glory be to God!!! Treasure Ayuba, the last boy who was still with the bandits who kidnapped the 121 students of Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna, on July 5, 2021, has just returned home today, November 2, 2023.
“Thanks be to our unfailing God. Thank you also very much for your prayers and numerous support”, he said.
However, Treasure can no longer speak the English Language. He told reporters that he found himself on the road in Kaduna, entered a bus to Sabon Gari, from where he traced his step to his family home.
