The Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA), Dr Rufus Ebegba, has presented the finalised and adopted Draft National Biosecurity Policy and Action Plan to the Honourable Minister of state for environment, Sharon Ikeazor, for onward transmission to the Federal Executive Council for consideration and approval.

The first stakeholders’ review of the draft National Biosecurity Policy and Action plan designed by the National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA) under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Environment has been held in Abuja, in collaboration with World Health Organisation (WHO).

The Director-General/Chief Executive Officer (DG/CEO) of the National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA), Dr. Rufus Ebegba, has said that despite challenges, the agency has remained resilient in the bid to ensure safe delivery and application of modern Biotechnology and its products.
