The President of the Journalists International Forum For Migration (JIFORM), Ajibola Abayomi, was among top dignitaries both in Nigeria and overseas  honoured with the United Nations Economic And Social Council (UNESC) 2021 awards and induction into humanitarian hall of fame held in Abuja at the weekend

On June 8 in Freetown, Sierra Leone, Nigeria’s Minister of state for Labour and Employment, Chief Festus Keyamo, (SAN), member of the African Union Labour-Migration Advisory Committee, Dr Princess Asie Kabuki Ocansey from Ghana and the Sierra Leonean Minister of Labour and Social Security, Alpha Timbo will receive the Distinguished African Decent Work Crusader, Legendary Decent Work and Distinguished Ministerial Decent Work Service awards.

Contrary to the position of the Minister of State for Labour and Employment for state, Festus Keyamo (SAN) and the Chairman Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senator Adamu Mohammad Bulkachuwa on some existing laws on migration matters in Nigeria, the Journalists International Forum For Migration (JIFORM), has called for a effective legislation to aid migration and its benefits to the country.

The Migration Control Services Agency (MCA), Cross River State in collaboration with the Journalists International Forum For Migration (JIFORM) is set to host a one-day migration stakeholders forum on April 22, 2021 at the Transcorp Hotel, Calabar.
