Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN) has explained why it took the decision to ban banks from dealing in cryptocurrencies in Nigeria. In a press statement by Osita Nwanisobi, Ag. Director, Corporate Communications the bank said, the CBN position on cryptocurrencies is not an outlier since central banks,  many countries, international financial institutions , investors and economists have also warned against its use
