7, 2016 – Residents of Aguda in Surulere have cried out over what they termed continued traffic bottlenecks in the area occasioned by the bad state of Enitan street in the area.
Some residents who have lived in the area for years said they were now considering relocating from the area saying the worsening traffic gridlock was having negative effects on their socio-economic activities.
They wondered the authorities of Coker-Aguda Local Government has continued to turn deaf hears to the cries of the residents on the need to repair the bad portion of Enitan street which is a major link road to Cele-Oshodi Expressway.
The residents noted that since they were forthcoming in their duties to government through regular payment of their taxes and other levies adding it was sad to see a major link road being left untouched by the council authority.
They however commended Coker-Aguda Local Government for the recent repair of Olatunde Onimole street close to Babs Animashaun in the area.
The aggrieved residents of Aguda vowed to embark on a peaceful protest to Alausa to press home their demand before Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
