TBS, Lagos – Chidinma Ojukwu has sensationally claimed she never discussed the shocking death of Super TV boss Usifo Ataga with her co-defendant.
The glamorous former University of Lagos student, 25, is standing trial for the alleged murder of the TV executive, 50, at a short-let apartment in Lagos.
But in an explosive turn in court Monday, the alleged ‘Slay Queen’ told the Lagos State High Court she only ever spoke to her co-accused, Adedapo Quadri, about scoring “Loud smoke and Rephinol.”
Ojukwu, giving testimony under cross-examination, insisted her only communication with Quadri was about getting her hands on the drugs.
When quizzed by Quadri’s lawyer, Babatunde Busari, she said: “Apart from contacting the second defendant, he was unaware of the activities going on at the apartment and he never visited.”
Cash and ID Cards Ripped Off
The court heard how Ojukwu, who is fighting a nine-count charge including murder, stealing, and forgery, was found with shocking documents from the apartment after Ataga’s death.
She identified documents taken from an envelope, including a driver’s license with the name Mary Johnson, another bearing Ataga Michael, and bank statements from UBA and Access Bank in the same names.
Earlier, her own lawyer, Onwuka Egwu, presented an iPhone 7 Plus, an iPhone 11 Pro, and a MacBook Pro, which she identified as her personal belongings.
Ojukwu explained she had sold the MacBook to a vendor after the incident. All items were admitted by Justice Yetunde Adesanya as exhibits.
The trial was adjourned until November 6, 2025, for continuation. Ojukwu is standing trial alongside Quadri and her sister Chioma Egbuchu.
