April 11, 2015 – Nigeria’s Super Falcons is through to the Women International Tournament at  the 11th All African Games after beating Mali 8 -0 in Abuja on Friday.

The Falcons however qualified on 9-1 aggregate having pulling a draw when it encountered the team far away in Bamako. The game ended 1 – 1.

According to thenff.com, foreign-based stars Asisat Oshoala, Desire Oparanozie and Francesca Ordega got a brace each, with another foreign-based Esther Sunday getting her name on the score-sheet after Captain Evelyn Nwabuoku had scored the goal of the evening, slamming in from the edge of the box off a corner kick.
