COTE D’IVOIRE – The South African team on Saturday evening defeated DR Congo to lift the Bronze Medal at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON 2023.
The Bafana Bafana of South Africa today defeated DR Congo 6-5 on penalty to lift the bronze medal.
But it was not an easy task for the South African side, who commanded the encounter, leading their opponent 56 to 44 percent in terms of ball possession.
South Africa recorded 11 goal kicks against 7 recorded by Congo DR.
