ANAMBRA, Nigeria – Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano on Friday inaugurated 4,200 National, state and local government campaign council committee of the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA for Prof Charles Soludo Campaign organisation at the Alex Ekwurme square Awka Anambra State.
Inaugurating the committee Obiano, urged members and party faithful to transverse all nooks and cranes of the state to ensure victory for the party. He said everybody must carry the message to locals about the good things the party has done in the state.
He said that the party is out again and will win the governorship election in the state. Obiano said that APGA is Anambra and Anambra is APGA and nobody can change it.
Speaking at the event, the former national chairman of the party senator Victor Umeh said Obiano has chosen Soludo as a worthy successor and everybody must work towards the success of the party’s candidate.
According to him, Soludo is the only person who can sustain the legacy of Chief Willie Obiano in the state. ” Soludo is our candidate ,he is going to contest the governorship election and he will win the election . The court of appeal in Kano had nailed everything about the candidate of APGA candidate in the election. Soludo is our candidate, everybody must come out to support this project.
Soludo was unanimously chosen by Anambra state. This place is Anambra state and only Anambra citizens will participate in the election” he said.
According to him , nobody from outside Anambra state will decide who becomes the governor of the state comes November 6,2021. He said that Anambra people know what they want and Soludo is the choice everybody has made based on his pedigree and he shall emerge the governor of the state
He urged all APGA members to come together and rally round the committee to ensure APGA retain the governorship position in the state.
“Those who are still aggrieved, as the chairman of the reconciliation committee , I appeal to you to come to us for reconciliation. Let us work for the victory of APGA, let us consolidate on the progress of APGA in the state” he said .
According to him, he will not sleep and nobody should sleep until APGA wins the election, promising to do everything the party would ask of him to ensure the party’s victory.
Speaking at the inauguration, Soludo said that he was confident that APGA was going to win the election given the wonderful performances of the present government. According to him, APGA will win in the election noting that the party is not interested in conquering Anambra as others would want to do.
“I’ am happy for choosing me to fly our party’s ticket. APGA remain indivisible in the state and this election is for Anambra people and not for outsiders. We will contest for every vote and we cannot allow any vote to slip off our hands, ” he said .
