August 3, 2015 – A 27 year old Moroccan man has been found dead in a suitcase in Spain.
The man according to the Spanish government died in the suitcase in process of being smuggled into Spain by his brother.
According to Spanish authorities, the surviving brother smuggled him to the country via the booth of his car.
The man was said to be on board a ferry from Melilla to the Spanish city of Almeria. The smuggler who has a French passport has been charged by Spanish authority for involuntary manslaughter.
BBC reported that a picture provided by Spanish Guardia Civil on May 8, 2015 shows an X-ray image showing an 8-year-old sub-Saharan boy hidden in a suitcase.
