AWKA, Nigeria – The Director, National Youth Service Corps ( NYSC) South East Area Office,Enugu, Alhaji Ahmed Wada Ikaka has stated that no nation grows beyond the skills of her citizens.
Wada made the statement while addressing corps members at the Anambra state NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Umuawulu/Mbaukwu Awka south local government area of the state .
According to Ikaka ,the NYSC provides the master key that opens padlocks leading to employment. He also advised corps members to show interest in the SAED training as it is capable of making them employers of Labour.
He advised the corps members to always carry their ID cards at all times, urging them to avoid keeping late nights and accepting gifts from unknown persons.
The Director admonished them to avoid wrong use of the social media and peddling of fake news that incite people to carry out acts of violence.
The high point of his visit was declaring the 2020 Batch ‘B’ stream 1 B inter platoon drills competition in Anambra open and the presentation of trophies and cash gifts to winning platoons and other groups.
