MOSCOW – A TEENAGE girl has been arrested after a horrifying school attack in Russia that left several children fighting for their lives.

The 14-year-old student reportedly stormed her classroom in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, armed with a hammer and flammable liquid before launching a calculated assault on her unsuspecting peers.

Witnesses describe a scene of pure “hell” as the girl allegedly doused classmates in accelerant and set them alight.

As the room dissolved into panic, she reportedly began swinging a hammer, striking multiple students in the head.
Emergency services rushed to the scene to find children suffering from a combination of horrific burns and blunt-force trauma.

Local health officials have confirmed a grim toll from the incident:
One child is currently in intensive care in serious condition suffering from severe burns.

Two children have been diagnosed with Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) after being struck with the hammer. Several others were treated for minor injuries and shock at the scene.

Police tackled the 14-year-old at the school, and she remains in custody. While a motive has not been officially released, investigators are looking into whether bullying or “online influences” played a role in the tragedy.

Russian authorities have launched a full criminal investigation into the “attempted murder of two or more minors.”

This latest horror comes amid growing concerns over school safety in Russia. While the country has historically seen fewer school rampages than the United States, the last few years have seen a spike in high-profile attacks:

September 2022: A gunman killed 17 people at a school in Izhevsk. May 2021: A teenager killed nine people at a school in Kazan.

Security in Russian schools was supposedly “tightened” following these events, yet this 14-year-old was reportedly able to smuggle both a hammer and flammable materials past checkpoints.

The Kremlin is now facing renewed pressure to explain how a middle-schooler could turn a classroom into a “slaughterhouse.”
