A DISGRACED former Metropolitan Police officer has been jailed for 15 months after launching a sickening sexual assault on a teenage boy in a Heathrow hotel room.

Predatory Grant Fulker, 32, used his position as a volunteer police cadet leader to target, manipulate, and groom young lads who trusted him.

The beast was hauled before Southwark Crown Court yesterday (Thursday) where a judge caged him for his calculated abuse of power.

The court heard how the sleazy ex-cop sent a barrage of sexualised WhatsApp messages to his teenage victim while acting as a trusted mentor. Investigators later discovered he had targeted a second teenage boy with similar vile texts.

The grooming escalated into horror between February 12 and 13, 2024, when Fulker sexually assaulted the first victim inside a hotel room near Heathrow Airport.

Braved up by the ordeal, the victims went to the police. Officers launched a fast-moving, urgent probe, swooping in to arrest Fulker in February 2024.

Digital sleuths cracked open Fulker’s mobile phone, uncovering a mountain of digital evidence that laid bare his sick, predatory behaviour.

Fulker, who was attached to the Met’s Specialist Operations Command, was sacked in disgrace at an accelerated misconduct hearing in March 2024 after realizing the game was up.

A jury found him guilty of sexual assault and attempted sexual assault following a five-day trial in January. He also pleaded guilty to three counts of misconduct in public office.

Alongside his 15-month prison sentence, the disgraced cop has been slapped on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years and handed a five-year Sexual Harm Protection Order (SHPO).
He has also been added to the College of Policing’s barred list, ensuring he can never wear a uniform again.

Speaking after the sentencing, Met Commander Pete Stevens slammed the former officer’s actions.

He said:
”Former PC Fulker used his role to target and manipulate young people who should have been able to trust him. His behaviour was calculated, predatory and a gross abuse of his position.”

Commander Stevens praised the incredible bravery of the boys who stood up to their abuser, adding: “Their strength ensured he was arrested, charged and ultimately brought to justice.”

The Met confirmed that following the shocking allegations, a top-to-bottom safety review has been carried out across every single cadet unit in London to ensure young people are protected.
