October 26, 2014 – Serena Williams today grabbed her third consecutive title in the WTA Women single after beating Simona Halep 6-3, 6-0.
It was a sweet revenge for Serena who was defeated four days ago 6-0, 6-2 by Halep. Serena’s saving grace seems to lie in her agility and classic service.
Halep is however not a pushover as she showed class in the encounter winning her opening service raising hopes among many that she would emerge winner of the tournament. But Serena had the upper hand in the long run.
