ABUJA, Nigeria – Embattled former governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha last night made it to the Presidential screening committee of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
“Yesterday night, I took part in the screening process to fly the flag of our Party; the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the 2023 Presidential elections”, Okorocha announced on Twitter.
Okorocha was screened shortly after he was bailed following his arraignment before Justice Inyang Ekwo of a Federal High Court in Abuja.
Justice Inyang Ekwo had admitted Okorocha to bail in the sum of N500 million and one surety in the like sum of N500m.
“The surety must have a landed property in Abuja worth N500m and the registrar of the court must verify the title document”, Justice Ekwo said.
The court also ordered him to deposit his international passport with the court’s registrar who will in turn inform the Nigerian Immigration Service about the status of the travel document.
