LA – Scores of blacks and whites have been arrested as ‘ Trump, Not My President’ protests gain momentum in the United States.
According to NBC, at least 60 people were arrested in protests in Manhattan, while CBS reported that at least 13 people were arrested in protests in Los Angeles.
Thousands of protesters burned a giant portrait of the President-elect, and trampled on Trump head in Los Angeles, while others made fires in Oakland intersections
We gathered that from New England to Kansas City, demonstrators bore flags and effigies of Donald Trump, disrupting traffic and declaring that they will not accept Trump’s victory.
Hundreds of people gathered at road intersections, blocking traffic, forcing the police to use tear gas to disperse protesters.
In Chicago, hundreds of people marched through the Loop, gathered outside Trump Tower, chanting “Not my president!”
One resident Michael Burke said he believes the president-elect stands to divide the nation and stir up a deep-seated hatred and that Americans have a constitutional duty not to accept that outcome.
In Boston, hundreds of anti-Trump protesters , chanted “Trump’s a racist” and carrying signs that said “Impeach Trump” and “Abolish Electoral College.”
