Every young man dreams of success which is often greeted with loud ovation when it comes to pass. But those who are wise thread with a lot of caution knowing that enemies of progress lurk all around the corners.
Izuchukwu and his father did not live to tell the story in the film Ogechi the Hunch Back.

Izuchukwu arrives his village after spending so many years in town and informed his father of his intention to build a house before settling down for marriage. His father approached his uncle, Bernard for a piece of land, not knowing that he was already threading in the lion’s den.

Izuchukwu is poisoned when he visited his uncle to thank him for the piece of land. His father is devastated by news of his death, only to pass on few days later. Ogechi who is suspicious of his uncle’s antics is crippled and afflicted with strange ailment. Ogechi’s mother turns mad in her quest to unravel the mystery. What will be the fate of Ogechi? This is left for you to find out in the film OGECHI THE HUNCH BACK.

Rated 18 by the National Film and Video Censors Board, Ogechi the Hunch Back is an average film produced by Ossy Nelson and directed by Tony Ezehndigbo. The picture quality is passable but it could be better same with audio quality. The story line however seems to betray the African culture which portrays the local deity as true agents for unraveling mysteries. One of the lessons thrown up in the film is the need to celebrate our success in life with some level of caution.

Chiwetalu Agu played Bernard while Queen Nwokoye played Ogechi.
