RUSSIA – The authority in Russia has released one of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Brother Feliks Makhammadiyev  from prison and thereafter deported him to  his home country,  Uzbekistan.

On December 31, 2020, the Belyayevsky District Court of the Orenburg Region ruled to temporarily place Feliks Makhammadiyev in a deportation center until he acquired the documents needed to be deported to his native country of Uzbekistan.

The Russia government had earlier revoked his citizenship in April 2020 being one of the Jehovah’s
Witnesses whose activities were under ban in Russia.

Following the court ruling, Feliks Makhammadiyev was on January 20, 2021 placed him on a train to Uzbekistan.

“We are pleased to report that Feliks safely arrived in Uzbekistan on January 21, 2021. His wife, Yevgeniya, traveled to Uzbekistan two days earlier, so she was there to meet him when he arrived”, the Jehovah’s Witnesses said on their website, Jw.org.
