March 22, 2015 – Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Tele-Ikuru today dumped the All Progressive Congress (APC) and moved ahead to join his former party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Tele-Ikuru is defecting just about six days to the Presidential election scheduled for March 28.
While announcing his defection, the deputy governor called on his supporters to go ahead and vote for the PDP in March 28 and April 11 election.
He has been Governor Chibuike Amechi’s deputy since 2007 and has been campaigning for the APC along with Amaechi until his defection.
Tele-Ikuru fell out with APC since he lost out in the primaries to Peterside Dakuku. He said to have hinged his defection to likelihood that the APC would lose the state to the PDP during the April 11 election.
