October 29, 2015 – Robyn Rihanna Fenty, the popular singer and supermodel has joined the cast of Valerien, City of a thousand planets, written by Luc Besson, who will also direct the film.
Besson made the announcement on his tweeter, wherein he said that he is excited that the pop singer and supermodel has joined the crew of the science fiction.
The film is an adaptation of the French sci-fi comic Valérian and Laureline. According to the director, the supermodel has a “big part” and that he’s “So excited!!!”.
She will now join Cara Delevingne who is playing Laureline, Dane DeHaan acting as Valerian, and Clive Owen as Commander Arün Filitt.
In the original comic, Valérian and Laureline are agents who defend earth by traveling through the space.
