Changes were not much at the box office during the week even as filmmakers continued to have cause to smile to the banks in terms of profit.

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, distributed by Paramount Pictures is the luckiest film to make the top five from the bottom during the week. The film made $8.8 million after passing through 3, 387 film viewing centres in the US to make it to number five on the box office chart.

Frozen, from the stable of Buena Vista is number four on the chart. The film made profit in excess of $9.035 million after visiting 2, 757 cinemas in the US to make it to number 4 on the chart. At number 3 is the film The Nut Job which is put together by Open Road Film(ORF). The Nut Job grossed $12.316 million after exhibiting in 3,472 theatres in the US to make it to number 3 on the box office chart.

Lone Survivor continued to occupy the second position on the chart in the last two weeks. Put together by Universal Studios, it recorded profit to the tune of $12.601 million after passing through 3,162 viewing centres in the US to maintain the second position on the chart.

However, Ride Along continued to be the darling of film buffs at the box office. The film made $21.162 million after exhibiting in 2,759 cinema houses in the US to retain the first position on the chart. Put together by Universal Studios, Ride Along is a small budget film by US standard, produced with just $25 million yet it has grossed a total sum of $75.4 million in just two weeks of going through the box office.
