February 25, 2015 – Alhaji Sharif Rabiu Inuwa has been re-elected Chairman of Kano State Football Association.
During the election, NFF Executive Committee and Chairman of the NFF Referees Committee, Alhaji Yusuf Ahmed Fresh, Inuwa polled 50 of the 51 votes cast to defeat his rival, Kamilu Mohammed, a member of the NFF and Chairman Committee of Ethics and Fairplay.
The only vote he may have cast for himself was declared invalid. Aminu Mohammed Inuwa was elected vice chairman with 50 votes.
