- Welsh politician Nathan Gill sold out Britain to Vladimir Putin’s cronies for pocket change – and was busted with a suitcase of foreign cash

LONDON, UK – A disgraced former UK politician was today caged for more than 10 years after selling his soul to a pro-Russian creep in exchange for envelopes of cash.
Cowardly Nathan Gill, 52, a former Member of European Parliament for Wales, was sentenced to 10 years and six months behind bars after he was caught peddling Vladimir Putin’s nasty propaganda.
The Anglesey man pocketed thousands in dirty money from a pro-Russian Ukrainian politician to parrot Moscow’s warped views on the war-torn country.
His greedy scheme came crashing down when Counter Terrorism cops stopped him at Manchester Airport heading for Moscow in September 2021.
Officers seized his mobile phone and soon found the shocking truth: Gill was secretly chatting with shadowy Ukrainian operator Oleg Voloshyn.
The pair used chillingly coded messages about “Xmas gifts” and “postcards” to mask the slimy exchange of cash for political favours.
But as their plot thickened, the messages got more explicit, with Voloshyn openly offering £5,000 sums for Gill to spout the Russian state’s twisted lies.
Detectives later found a stash of around £5,000 in Euros and US Dollars during a raid on Gill’s North Wales home.
It was revealed the traitor agreed on eight separate occasions between 2018 and 2019 to make sickening statements in the European Parliament that were almost verbatim copies of scripts provided by the Ukrainians.
Instead of fighting for his constituents, Gill was busy taking orders and cash to slam the Ukrainian government and defend pro-Russian thugs.
Commander Dominic Murphy, Head of the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command, slammed the politician, saying the sentence “should send a clear message.”
He raged: “Instead of looking after the interests of his constituents and the interests of the UK, Gill was more concerned about making money for himself by peddling views and opinions that were in support of the Russian state’s activities in Ukraine.”
The Met chief also thanked the FBI in the US for helping detectives nail the messages that proved the sickening plot.
Gill finally squealed and pleaded guilty to eight counts of bribery at the Old Bailey in September, with the weight of the evidence leaving him no choice.
His Ukrainian accomplice, Oleg Voloshyn, is still on the run and remains wanted by UK police.
