LAGOS, Nigeria – Justice Abiola Soladoye of an Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court today sentenced a 35 year old Prophet, Prince Tom to double life imprisonment.
Prince Tom was found guilty on the two count charge of defilement and kidnapping. The sentence is to run concurrently. In convicting him, Justice Soladoye described the defendant as a toxic being whose attitude even in the dock is wicked and deadly
“In view of all evidence presented in court, I am convinced that the accused is guilty of these two counts” the judge said, adding that the defendant is toxic in character and using the name of god to deceive others, he is mean and callous.
She pointed to the fact that the evidence of PW 1, who happened to be the victim remained constant and it is the fact, because it is an actual narration of what happened, and remain unshaken even during cross examination.
Soladoye further noted that the victim evidence were also supported by the evidence of PW2 ,who happened to be the victim’s mother as well as all the other witnesses.
He extorted the mother of the victim, whom he brainwashed to heal their sick breadwinner and that it was a case of man inhumanity to man. The Judge warned parents not to trust their Children with people whom they don’t anything about and not to trust strangers with their Children. She warned mothers not to hand over their girls to unknown people.
