The young boy who is not up to 25 years could not  have said he earned the money to a buy a N60 millions jeep and  other expensive cars in his  convoy. We were told that he holds Masters degree in engineering from a UK university, which I think  is a good thing  but where is he working to earn such stupendous amount of money to spend on cars. How many years has he  been working  to be able to save such  amount of money to buy  those cars?

ONITSHA, Anambra- In the past 23 years and some months of democratic practices in Nigeria, Abia State, the God’s own state is  on a steady retrogression. Moving steadily from hope to a hopeless situation. The leadership, gives hope but engenders hopelessness. Promised gold but provides granite for the people to chew.

The infrastructure and the human capital in the state are negatively affected by the status quo principle of remaining in the national politics and this has caused us untold hardship over the years.

The Civil servants and those doing business in the state are finding it extremely difficult to eke a living, while the few that hold the mantle of leadership are living like emperors.

It appears that the state is under curse.  Are we cursed or we are the cause? Students of the state university are complaining about infrastructural decay. The lecturers are complaining about lack of facilities to work and they hardly get their salaries.  State workers are being owed several months, medical doctors are not left out in the arrears of salaries owed.

The pensioners who had spent their youthful  and productive years  providing and working for the present crops  of leaders in the state are living in penury, many have  died  because the government of the day refusal to pay them   to take care of their aging health. What a state?

The Abia State Polytechnic has all of its courses de-accredited  while the children are on campus; the State College of Education is currently in comatose. There are  no infrastructure and teachers are not recruited to teach  the students . The state primary and secondary system are no  place of choice for parents who desire quality education for the wards.

Aba the business hub of the state remians the worst city  in the whole of the country, many have relocated to other states as a result of poor infrastructure such as bad  roads and heavy taxation .

The Peoples’ Democratic Party PDP led government created an environment that does not encourage normal human habitation; people are living in despair,  poverty and inhuman condition, frustrated by lack  of care by the government they all elected.

The worst remain, that those entrusted with the mantle of leadership in the state send their children abroad for quality education with hope of bringing them back after graduation to continue where their parents stopped.

The State government is consciously creating barrier of stagnation in the state and creating structured that will keep their children perpetually on top of leadership while their subject live in perpetual  deprivation and penury.

This is time for the led to take a decisive step to correct the ill foisted on the masses by the leadership that has partitioned the state  to fend for their children. This coming election affords us  the golden opportunity to be disruptive in thinking and say no to further dehumanisation of our people, no to impoverishment, no to  work and no pay system in the state ,no to poor education system ,no to poor healthcare delivery  system and say yes, to human capital development, regenerative economy. Yes to quality education, yes to   quality healthcare delivery system and yes to infrastructural development.

The new Abia mantra conceptualized by All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA Governorship candidate in the state Prof Gregory Ibe, is the only way forward for rescuing the state from those who had held the entire population down over the years.

The entire Abians most key into the vision of new Abia encapsulated by Prof Gregory Ibe to leap jump the state into a Smart City ,where every Abian will be a proud citizen. The vision and the mission is  “to develop Abia into a dynamic state, a prime destination and a leader among states in Nigeria.

“To make Abia State a leading destination for youths in Nigeria, a vastly improved centre of commerce/trade, agriculture, industry, science and technology, and a leader in innovation and entrepreneurship development.”

“I want to enthrone a system where the government creates an enabling environment for our people to thrive, offers  unrivalled care and protection of her citizens anywhere they  may be, and lead such a government that restores our pride as a people once again while emboldening us to wilfully create and shape our own narratives.”.

It is only  APGA that has such manifesto and its governorship candidate and all APGA candidates are rooted in core  Igbo and Abia value. It is only  in APGA that  such Igbo philosophy  for values and hard work are  entrenched.   “Nkeabunkenyi”  is Igbo spirit to conquer and it is time we  conquer those that have held us down over years and get ourselves liberated.

We don’t want  external influence to determine whom we are , this lies called national politics most stop. The new Abia mantra is the way to go and that is  where to be in this 2023 general elections.

The party  governorship candidate is a true Abian ,who has most of his investments in the state , he has many Abians working in his companies. There is no better person today than Prof Gregory Ibe to change the ugly situation of the state.

We have all been inundated with the trending video of Governor Victor Okezie Ikpeazu’s son,  riding in a convoys of cars worth over N 200 millions. The only thing that qualified him  for that show of  stupendous wealth is that he has a father who presides over the commonwealth of Abia state, a father who has consciously refused to put smiles and give  hope to the people of the state.

How many years has he  been working  to be able to save such  amount of money to buy  those cars?.

This is time for us to wake from slumber as announced by the APGA cock” kokoroko”,chi efola Ndi Abia, join APGA and Prof Gregory Ibe for  a new Abia. Let us embrace the new Abia and save our children and stop it from further destruction.
