UMUAHIA, Abia, Nigeria – Governorship candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) in Abia state Prof Gregory Ibe has condemned the recent killing of three Abians in Aba by suspected to be cultists.

Prof Gregory Ibe in a statement issued by  the Director, Media & Publicity of his  Campaign Council Rev Sleek Ogwo, said the barbaric killing must stop in the state. He called on the Abia state Commissioner of Police CP Mustapha Mohammed Bala to as a matter of urgency, fish out the perpetuators of the dastard act to face the law.

Prof Ibe said , “The indiscriminate killing of Abians must stop forthwith, as I call on the Commissioner of Police to immediately commence investigations in order to unravel the people behind the recent killing of three Abians in Aba”.

He urged the Abia state Police command to leave no stone unturned in a bid to bring to book perpetuators of the Aba mayhem, noting that the security of Abia citizens must remain the prime responsibility of Government.

“While commiserating with the families of the slain Abians, I urge the Abia State Police Command to rise up to the occasion by smoking out the hoodlums behind this wicked act. It is common knowledge that the security of lives and property remain the prime task of Government, I therefore call on agents of Abia State Government to restore the confidence of citizens by ensuring the enactment and execution of laws and policies that will guarantee a safe environment” he stated .

He  further assured Abians of a well developed plan as contained in his comprehensive manifesto blueprint, to leverage his privilege background in safety management to rejig the security architecture of Abia state if elected governor in the forthcoming polls.

“It would be recalled that the media was recently awash with the story of the day light slaughter of three Abians, believed to be officials of Abia State Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA), in the Samek area of Faulks road by hoodlums suspected to be cultists” he said .
