ONITSHA, Anambra, Nigeria – The Founder and Chief Executive of Officer of Gregory University Uturu (GUU) , Abia state, Prof Gregory Ibe has called on the people of the state not to lose confidence , stressing that the state has great potential for change.
In his New Year message to the people of the state, Ibe said that the state is steadily taking steps into the prospect of a promising glorious future of great possibilities for the people.
The Chancellor of GUU expressed confident about the tremendous potentials of the state and assured that he would continuously and sacrificially partner every development-driven stakeholder in the state, in order to realise the Abia State dream.
The statement reads in parts “I bring you felicitations of joy as we put a permanent seal on 2020 and with great expectation initiate transition into 2021.
“It is against the backdrop of the many challenges that confronted humanity globally in the outgone year, that I have chosen to enjoin all Abians to remain positive being encouraged by the holy words contained in Isaiah 43:18-19 that reads this:
“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert”.
“As a people of faith, let us therefore quickly heal over the pains and perils of 2020, even as we take sure and steady steps into the prospect of a promising glorious future of great possibilities for our dear Abia.
“I remain confident about the tremendous potentials of our state and will continue to sacrificially partner every development-driven stakeholder, in order realise the Abia of our dream”
