ABUJA, Nigeria – President Muhammadu Buhari today suspended Chairman of the Special Investigation Panel on the Recovery of Public Property, Mr. Okoi Obono-Obla.
He was suspended with immediate effect.
In a statement, the Presidency said the suspension shall be in effect until the conclusion of ongoing investigations into a number of cases relating to Mr. Obono-Obla by the Independent and Corrupt Practices Commission(ICPC).
“Presidency Nigeria: @NGRPresident President @MBuhari has directed the suspension from office, with immediate effect, of the Chairman of the Special Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property, Mr Okoi Obono-Obla”, the statement said.
