LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigerian Police Force has concluded plans to charge the Danish suspected murderer, Peter Nelson to Yaba Magistrate for the murder of his wife, Zainab Nelson and his 3 year old daughter, Petral. The remains of the 37 years old Zainab Nielson and that of her 3 year old daughter, Petral, were discovered by police at Bellasta Tower, Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos on Thursday, April 5, 2018.
But in an update, the Lagos State Police Command has said it had decided to take Mr Peter Nielson, the Danish man alleged to have murdered his wife, Mrs Zainab Nielson and daughter, Petral Nielson to court for two counts charge of murder.
In a release signed by its PPRO, SP Chike Oti said that Mr. Imohimi Edgal directed the case be charged to court based on the findings of the crime scene, preliminary autopsy report and DNA analysis carried out by forensic experts.
The statement added that the suspect, Peter Nielson “would be taken to the Yaba Magistrate Court today 11th April, 2018, where the case would be mentioned and his trial for the offence of murder begins”.
“Meanwhile, a duplicate copy of the murder casefile has been sent to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP), for legal advice”, the PPRO added.
