IKEJA, Lagos, Nigeria – Officials of the Nigerian Police Force, NPF have picked a day old baby from one of the waste bins located in Lagos.
The baby, a boy was well wrapped in a polythene bag in the waste bin.
According Force Public Relations Officer, Lagos, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the baby would have been dead but for the fact that it was discovered on time.
He reported that the day old baby boy is doing fine.
He is advising young ladies to rather prevent the pregnancy. “It is better than killing the baby. Infanticide is a crime”, he warned.
