LAGOS, Nigeria – The Police in Lagos says it has arrested two people for alleged theft of railways tracks.

According to Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the patrol team from the Ijora Badia division intercepted the vehicle conveying the stolen tracks at around 1am.

He said the two suspect in the Mitsubishi Lancer conveying the tracks have been arrested, adding that investigation into the incident is ongoing.

At about 1am today, a patrol team from Ijora Badia Division intercepted a Mitsubishi Lancer car conveying vandalized railway tracks. The two occupants of the vehicle have been arrested. Investigation is ongoing”, he said in a short statement.
