AJAH, Lagos, Nigeria – The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed kidnap of Air Vice Marshall Smith rtd in the early hours of Monday in Lagos.
AVM Smith according to his driver was kidnapped at his building site near Blenco Mall on Addo Road, Ajah, Lagos. In a voicenote, Corporal Okdiji, his driver said retired AVM Smith, was kidnapped at his site after a sporadic gunshot by gun men who took away along the waterways
“They have kidnapped Air vice marshal Smith from the site where we are. Some gun men wearing mask kidnapped him. They were shooting everywhere, I was fixing oga’s vehicle, when it happened. On my way back I saw them”, he said in his voice note.
Confirming the incident, Lagos police spokesman, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, said the command is aware of the incident and that concerted efforts are ongoing to rescue him unhurt, and arrest the perpetrators.
