LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Police Force, NPF has announced that it is probing the death of talented musician Oladimeji Promise Aloba alias Mohbad who died in mysterious circumstances earlier this week.
Ironically, the police announced the probe 72 hours after the demise of the musician and more than two months after the musician now late petitioned the police alleging threats to his life.
Mohbad specifically reported Naira Marley and his music promoter, Sam Larry to FCID Alagbon June 27. The police according to Punch invited those mentioned in the petition.
The police said Mohbad did not show up to defend his allegations with proof but that Sam Larry filled counter petition through his lawyers.
However in a separate statement, Police Public Relations Officer, Prince Muyiwa Adejobi assured the public that the force is investigating circumstances surrounding the demise of the musician.
While calling on individuals with valuable information to contact the Lagos State Police Command, it called on Nigerians to avoid making statements that would jeopardise ongoing investigations.
