PRESIDENT Donald Trump has declared a total knockout in the Middle East, boasting that there is “practically no target to hit anymore” in Iran.
In a defiant address from the White House, the Commander-in-Chief revealed that US forces have decimated Tehran’s ability to wage war at sea, wiping out 28 specialist “mine ships” in a series of precision strikes.
The President told reporters: “We’ve hit them so hard, there’s nothing left. We took out 28 of those mine ships—the ones they use to bully the world and stop the oil. It’s over.”
And in news that will be music to the ears of hard-pressed British motorists, the Don promised a massive win for the wallet.
He predicted a global “oil bonanza,” claiming that by securing the vital shipping lanes of the Strait of Hormuz, energy costs are set to tumble.
”The price of oil will be coming down, and it’ll be coming down fast,” Trump barked. “We’ve made the seas safe again. The thugs in Tehran are out of moves.”
The claims come after ten days of escalating “Fire and Fury” in the Persian Gulf. Following reports that Iran had begun seeding the world’s most important oil chokepoint with deadly naval mines, the US launched Operation Midnight Hammer.
The conflict, which has seen the US and Israel team up to dismantle Iran’s military infrastructure, had briefly sent Brent Crude soaring toward $120 a barrel earlier this week.
But with Trump now claiming the Iranian regime is “way ahead of schedule” for a total surrender, markets have begun to stabilize.
Military experts say the destruction of the 28 mine-laying vessels—mostly small, fast craft used by the Revolutionary Guard—is a “crippling blow” to Iran’s strategy of “economic blackmail.”
