April 13, 2015 – Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Mr. Nyesom Wike has been declared winner of the Governorship election in Rivers State.
Wike polled 1, 029, 102 votes to defeat candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Mr. Dakuku Peterside who scored 124, 896 votes to emerge Governor of the state.
Meanwhile, Peterside has said he will explore the legal option to reclaim what he believes was his stolen mandate.
