OSUN, Nigeria – Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi has made a striking allusion to the statement of the Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Senator Bola Tinubu, who described Labour Party as a corrupted party, a party of labourers that will labour till death.
Tinubu, who was speaking during the party’s mega rally in Osun derided Labour Party as being party of spoilers.
“They call them Labour Party, who are doing physical labour, and labour till death. God will not allow you to be a Labourer, and the party men chorused amen. May you go home with goodness, goodness of money, with goodness of children”, Tinubu said during the rally which was well attended by party men.
But during the Labour Party campaign for their candidate, Mr. Lasun Yufu, Presidential candidate of the LP, Mr. Peter Obi said he heard that somebody said, labour till deathbut he said followers of the party should not act in like manner but called on Labour Party members to show Tinubu love, stressing that there is dignity in labour.
“When they show you or when they talk like that When they show you hatred, Labour party will show them love, there is dignity in labour”, he said.
