LAGOS, Nigeria – Celebrated thespian and icon of the Nigerian film industry, Mr. Pete Edochie is reported to have lost his grandson, Kambilichukwu Leo.
The affected grandson is the son of his first son, Yul. It is not clear how the boy died but there are reports online that the young man, the first son of his father was sick and rushed to hospital where he gave up the ghost.
The nature of the ailment that killed the young healthy Leo Yul Edochie, whose picture is besides the father is still a mystery as his father, Yul is yet to speak, neither has any statement been accredited to him.
He has also not denied the media reports. But there are reports in the media that Kambilichukwu slumped and developed a seizure while playing football with his friends after reading throughout the night a day before and was rushed to Mother & Child Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
Kambilichukwu Leo Yul-Edochie celebrated his 16th birthday in January.
Meanwhile fellow actors in Nollywood and entertainment in general have continued to pay condolence to the family on this sad development.
Rave of the moment, Destiny Etiko described the incident as disheartening, praying God to grant the family comfort.
AbdulKareem Idris prayed for the Edochie family.
“My brother Yul may the lord give you the strength to overcome this painful loss, pls accept my condolences may the lord rest his soul AMEN”, the musician said.
