JOS, Plateau, Nigeria – There was jubilation in the markets and all over the place in Plateau State following the declaration of Mustapha Caleb Manasseh as winner of the governorship election, held last Saturday in the state.
Manasseh scored 525, 299 votes to defeat Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, who polled 481, 370 votes in the governorship and house of assembly elections.
The PDP won in 10 local governments, while the APC won in 7 local governments.
The LP scored 60, 310 votes in the election to come third. APGA scored 779 votes while the APM scored 198 votes.
