December 8, 2014 – The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has cancelled the conduct of the Governorship primary election that is scheduled to hold today in Ogun state.
Publicity Secretary of the party, Chief Olisa Metuh said in a statement that the NWC has not authorized such an election.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the NWC hereby states that it did not authorize any governorship primary in Ogun state. Consequently, any such exercise held in Ogun state is hereby declared null and void and of no effect”, the statement said, adding that a new date will be communicated for the primaries.
