LONDON – The London Metropolitan Police has swung into action minutes after passage of the law criminalising Palestine Action as a terrorist organization, arresting dozens of silent protesters.

Among those arrested was 83 years old Rev. Sue Parfitt who was detained for holding placards with the inscription: ” I oppose genocide; I support Palestine Action”.

Rev Parfitt was one of the 20 people arrested earlier today by the police.

In a statement, the London Metropolitan Police confirmed arrest of 20 activists.

“Officers have arrested more than 20 people on suspicion of offences under the Terrorism Act 2000.

” They have been taken into custody. Palestine Action is a proscribed group and officers will act where criminal offences are committed”, the police said on X.
