LEBANON – More facts have emerged about how the Israeli Defence Forces, IDF turned pagers, messaging devices into explosives it deployed against the Lebanese Resistant Movement, Hezbollah and innocent civilians.

According to reports, a PETN substance, one of the most powerful explosives in the world was inserted into the pagers before they were made available to buyers.

PETN, according to reports is sensitive to heat and friction, which may account for the explosion.

In its analysis on the device, an Al-Jazeera analyst said 20 grams explosives were inserted into each device  before they were made available to customers in nearby Lebanon.

Hezbollah sources say the group put the devices into use 5 months ago.

This not the first time that the Israeli Defence Forces will be putting explosives in devices to attack targets.

Few months ago, many Palestinians were killed, some injured when food cans were laced with explosive at a time when it was very difficult for many to feed in the Gaza Strip.

Packaged food airdropped into Gaza which were eaten by IDF soldiers were converted into explosives such that hungry Palestinians  dared to open food cans when they return to their homes met their untimely deaths.
