IBADAN, Nigeria – The Oyo State Government has signed an amendment bill to change the name of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) to Ladoke Akintola University, LAU.
In a statement, the Oyo State Government said the bill was signed by the Oyo State Governor, Mr. Seyi Makinde to reflect the proposed change of name to LAU.
The bill will also amend its objectives so that the university can offer courses in arts and humanities as approved by the National Universities Commission.
