OSHOGBO, Osun – The major fence protecting Osun State Government House in Oshogbo has collapsed, exposing government officials, following heavy flood that hit Oshogbo in the early hours of Tuesday.
About 25 meters of the perimeter fence of the Osun Government House was brought down by the flood.
Three people were also feared killed during the flood that came with the heavy downpour, which hit several areas in Oshogbo.
Three persons reported died at Oke-Onitea and Okejetu areas, while one of the victim was identified as an Okada rider.
Speaking on the development, Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs. Funke Egbemode said that government has activated emergency response system, comprising stakeholders in disaster management, including environmental management officers, health workers, and security agencies to respond efficiently to the incident where necessary.
