LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigerian Police Force has transferred all the policemen domiciled at Ajah Police Station.
They were transferred following the uproar that greeted the killing of Lagos lawyer and property consultant, Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem by ASP Drambi Vandi of Ajiwe Police Station, Ajah.
Drambi Vandi was also alleged to have shot and killed Gafaru Braimoh December 07, 2022.
Omobolanle Raheem was killed in company of her husband on Christmas day while turning under the bridge at Ajah on her way from Christmas Day Service.
Her murder resulted in public outcry leading to the suspension and eventual trial of Drambi Vandi. Perhaps to avert any incident, the police authority decided to transfer all the policemen at Ajah Police Station and replaced them with new blood.
Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin made the revelation on his social media handle.
“…the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Abiodun Alabi, fdc has already effected the transfer out of ALL personnel of the division, with replacement from other divisions. This would fully materialize in a couple of days. 2/3
